WordPress Plugin Development

When off-the-shelf plugins stop working, we write the one you need.

Custom plugins, not plugin stacks

There's a point where adding one more plugin makes things worse. Conflicts, slow admin pages, features you pay for monthly but use 5% of, and a stack nobody can safely update. At that point a small custom plugin is cheaper and far more stable.

We write WordPress plugins the way they're meant to be written — proper OOP PHP, WordPress coding standards, hooks and filters instead of core edits, and code that a different developer could pick up in a year.

What we build

How we write plugins

Every plugin follows the same structure: namespaced classes, an autoloader, separated admin and public logic, proper activation and deactivation hooks, and translations ready from day one.

Why this matters A plugin that's written properly survives WordPress and WooCommerce updates. One that isn't will break at the worst possible moment — usually during your busiest sales week.

Examples of what clients have asked for

A coupon system with rules the standard WooCommerce coupons couldn't express. A courier integration that calculates shipping by weight, zone and cash-on-delivery status. An AJAX product filter for a technical catalogue with thousands of SKUs and downloadable CAD files — that one runs on FEDS. A reconciliation dashboard that matches POS receipts against online orders.

How we quote a plugin

A plugin that does one clear thing is a very different job from one with an admin interface, settings, and an external API that occasionally misbehaves. The honest answer is that it depends on the spec.

Tell us what the plugin needs to do and we'll come back with a fixed quote and a delivery date. Whatever it costs, you get the full source code and documentation with no licence fees — it's yours to keep, extend or hand to another developer.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

If your question isn't here, just ask us directly — we reply fast.

Yes, if it's written against public APIs — which is how we write them. We use hooks and filters rather than modifying core or theme files, and we test against the current and previous major versions.
Completely. You get the full source, documentation, and there are no licence fees or subscriptions. If you want to hand it to another developer later, everything they need is in the repo.
Usually yes. We start with a short audit to see whether extending it is sensible or whether a rewrite would cost less in the long run — and we'll tell you honestly which one it is.
We offer optional retainers for updates, compatibility testing and small changes. Plenty of clients prefer to call us only when something's needed, which is fine too.
